Effective Date: Febuary 1, 2026 | Last Updated: December 10, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Latis ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This App is intended for use by field agents and enterprise users only. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
We collect only the data necessary to deliver the App's core field tracking and reporting features.
What we collect: GPS-level precise location and network-based coarse location.
Why we collect it: To track field activities, verify agent positions, and generate location-stamped field reports.
Background Location (High-Sensitivity): This App requests permission to access your location while the App is running in the background. This is required to support continuous field tracking during active work shifts, so that agents do not need to keep the App open on screen at all times. Background location is only active when you are logged in and have an active shift. You will be shown an in-app disclosure and prompted to grant this permission separately before it is enabled. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
What we collect: Images and videos captured via your device camera.
Why we collect it: To allow you to photograph field conditions, evidence, or assets as part of your field reports. The App does not access your camera without your interaction.
What we collect: Images or videos you choose to select from your device's photo library.
Why we collect it: To allow you to attach previously captured images to field reports. The App reads only the files you explicitly select.
What we collect: Audio recordings.
Why we collect it: To allow you to attach voice notes or audio evidence to field reports. The App activates the microphone only when you initiate a recording within the App.
We may collect the following technical data to ensure App stability and compatibility:
We do not collect hardware-level unique device identifiers (such as IMEI or serial number). Any device-level identifiers used are limited to app-scoped identifiers for session management and crash diagnostics only.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from your information.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as required to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Location data and field reports are retained for the period required by your managing organization, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 7).
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact your organization administrator or reach out to us directly using the contact details in Section 7.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us at:
We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice within the App or via email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
